MORE UPDATES!😱😱

Close call by Algeria to secure... in the Super Eagles Semi_Final.⚽️πŸƒ‍♂️πŸ‘ŠπŸ™Œ

It's widely agreed by observers of the game that a tournament exit on penalty kicks is a cruel way to be eliminated from any competition. The pain is even more acute when a team exits undeservedly and Ivory Coast will point to a strong second half performance and domination of an extra time period with both sides tied at 1-1 in Suez.
Despite the 30 plus temperature in the Egyptian city both teams served up a fine game with Algeria dominating possession and Ivory Coast looking dangerous on the counter with Max Gradel particularly sharp for Les Elephants.
Former Valencia man Feghouli opened the scoring after 20 minutes with Les Fenics good value for their half time lead.
Two time CAN winners Ivory Coast were back in the tie with a delightful move which culminated in Aston Villa's Kodija slotting home to level things on the night. A further 30 minutes of  muscle draining extra time failed to separate the sides and it was Serey Die who ultimately missed the final spot kick to see Algeria through.
The Desert Foxes now face the Super Eaglesof Nigeria in Sunday's second semi final in Cairo with a 2100 CEST start.
The final quarter final of CAN 2019 is about to get underway in Cairo with surprise package.

What a game and what a cruel way to be eliminated from the competition. Congratulations to Les Fennecs of Algeria and comisarations to Les Elephants.
